Knit from the center back neck down, ending in a simple, scalloped edging. Instructions given for 4 yarn weights and 3 sizes.

Yarn Requirements & Needles Sizes: You will need a 24" to 32: (60 to 80cm) circular needle in the size given below for your yarn weight.

Lace wt: Scarf/shoulder shawl 425 yards; small shawl 750 yards; large shawl 1200 yards. US Size 5 (3.75mm)

Fingering wt: Scarf/shoulder shawl 375 yards; small shawl 675 yards; large shawl 1100 yards. US size 6 (4mm) needles.

Sport wt: Scarf/shoulder shawl 350 yards; small shawl 575 yards; large shawl 1000 yards. US size 8 (4.5mm) needles.

DK or lt worsted wt: Scarf/shoulder shawl 275 yards; small shawl 500 yards; large shawl 900 yards. US size 10 (6mm) needles.

Finished sizes: Scarf/shoulder shawl: 27" deep and 54" across top

Small Shawl: 34" deep and 68" across top.

Large Shawl: 45" deep and 90" across top.

Unblocked gauge: Lace wt: 20 sts = 4" (10 cm) Fingering wt: 19 sts = 4" (10 cm) Sport wt: 17 sts = 4" (10cm) Dk or lt worsted wt: 13 sts = 4" (10cm)
